NATIONAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (NDMA)
The Government of India (GOI), in recognition of the importance of Disaster Management as a national priority, set up a High-Powered Committee (HPC) in August 1999 and a National Committee after the Gujarat earthquake, for making recommendations on the preparation of Disaster Management plans and suggesting effective mitigation mechanisms.
In response to national disaster management authority ,the PM Shri KV AFS No.2 South Devlali has set up School Disaster Management Committee with Principal Vimla Sriniwasan as the head with Social Science Teachers Deepa Kamalvanshi and Arvind Kumar Meena and School Captain Ashman Jagdale and Akshada. Mock drill was conducted to evacuate the students from school building in case of the earth quake and how to rescue them.
